Firouzeh Saremi Far is a Toronto-based visual artist whose practice investigates the intersections of sculpture, installation, and painting to explore themes of hope, resilience, transformation, and identity. She is particularly interested in the emotional relationships between human experience, material, and the environment. Her material-driven process combines sculpture, mixed media, and painting to translate emotional and psychological states into tangible forms. Through the interplay of geometric and organic structures, she explores tensions between rigidity and flexibility, pressure and resistance, and permanence and change. Color functions as an expressive language of energy and human connection, while nature serves as a continual source of inspiration, informing her understanding of growth, adaptation, and renewal. Drawing from the quiet resilience found in natural systems and the ways individuals navigate adversity, her work examines how material, form, and space can embody processes of transformation through artistic practice.

International artist residencies and cross-cultural research experiences have played a significant role in the evolution of her practice, deepening her exploration of materiality, spatial thinking, and immersive sculptural environments. Her practice has been recognized through awards and professional opportunities, including the Best of Student Award and the Marie Collins Memorial Award at the Toronto Outdoor Art Fair, the Akin Career Launcher Award, and the Juror's Award of Excellence at the Ontario Juried Art Exhibition.

​Currently, Firouzeh is in the early stages of developing her latest body of work, Against the Pressure, which explores themes of conflict, transformation, and renewal through layered materials, forms, and spatial tension. Ultimately, her goal is to create immersive sculptural environments that allow viewers to form their own personal connections with the work. These connections may emerge through form, color, material, the spatial arrangement of the work, the personal narratives behind it, or the viewers’ own interpretations and stories. It is important to her that the work is not limited to a single interpretation but instead remains open to different experiences, connections, and ways of making meaning.
