Dream Of
A Burned Forest

In this Collection, inspired by nature, I strive to capture the inspiring feelings of people who are forced to leave their homes in search of a better future, like any burned forest that can flourish again with care, so can the human spirit with hope.

I used abstract landscape to convey my message, since living and adjusting towards natural challenges, much like the immigrants' journey, is not easy. They must harmonize with their environment and navigate every obstacle to stay alive. The hard edges symbolize the personal twists and challenges each individual faces. The orange spots metaphorically represent rivers that find their way amidst all the difficulties, symbolizing the hope, determination, and resilience of immigrants.

My intention is to ignite a sense of empathy and understanding among viewers, to inspire them to recognize the immense strength and potential that lies within every immigrant. I believe that by fostering compassion and embracing the narratives of migration, we can create a more inclusive and harmonious world. I created this body of work, which was honored in summer 2023 with the 'Best of Student Award' From TOAF; 'Marie Collins Memorial Award', and the 'Artscape Award', as a testament to the power of hope. Even if we lose everything, with a spark of hope, we can rise, rebuild, and journey forward. So, I hope all of us keep our inner hope alive and let it guide us through every adversity.
